Why it is so hard in learning bilingual cyber culture?

I have been studying the subject: bilingual cyber culture for half of a semester, I gradually found that the most difficult part is to discover the bilingual elements. 

Hong Kong is a former British colony; it’s common for us to code-switch between Cantonese and English. Living/growing up in a bilingual city, there are a number of situations where code-switching occurs and I’m just get used to it.

EXAMPLEs of Cantonese-English mixed code:

AT WOK

1.      we will say” 我聽日有個presentation” in stead of “我聽日有個匯報”

AT LEISURE TIME

2.      we will say” HAPPY HOUR去唱K”In stead of”歡樂時光去唱卡拉 OK"

3 we will say” 放BREAK去食TEA” in stead of” 小休時去享用下午茶”

These codes-switching are very common in HK public discourse, especially in the youth culture. It’s so hard for us to speak in pure Cantonese and sometimes only with the help of borrowing some English words can we express our inner feelings precisely.
